BioI don't like to define myself. I don't want to be pidgeon-holed.
I'm a nerd. Also a geek. But also really girly. I love shoes, and doing my hair, and wearing make-up and posh frocks. I read books, play games - board, computer, cards, whatever. I watch lots of TV and movies. I also like the outdoors - walking, cycling, hiking, climbing, I even used to ride horses, and would like to again.
I studied science, but am now an accountant. But I love geography, geology and history too. I don't really speak other languages, a smattering of French is about it. I love to travel, yet rarely have the time or money to do so. I haven't been abroad for at least three years now.
I am Welsh. I am also a Yorkshire lass. I am British. I see no reason why I can't be all three at once.
I am passionate about music. I sing and play piano. I used to play violin. I want to learn to play the cello.
I am a keen rugby union fan. I support the Scarlets (a Welsh team who play in the Magners League and Heineken Cup competitions) and of course the Welsh national side. I try to go to as many games as I can, but it is difficult because we're 3 hours away from the grounds.
I live with my partner and our cat. I'd have more cats, but the cat disagrees.
My journal is mostly friends only. This is because I often post about intimate and specific things in my life, and I don't really want to share that with the world (there are a lot of strange folks on here, have you noticed?). Occasionally I post things unlocked. But only occassionally. Sorry, but I don't friend people I don't know.
I've done the Race for Life twice, and am now participating in the Aspire Channel Swim. I will be swimming 22 miles over the course of 12 weeks between September and December 2009.
